He highlighted cases such as an Australian traveller in the U.S. who became seriously ill, requiring several weeks of hospitalization and eventual repatriation via air ambulance. Another case involved a traveller who sustained multiple injuries while diving in Indonesia, necessitating an extended overseas stay before being able to return home.
